where did all that time go?

It’s Sunday and I’m supposed to have done about a million things today, some of them quite important.
Instead, and not for the first time, I did something rather different :

Sorry about all the missed notes on this – this is just version #1. Next Sunday I am supposed to be doing about a million things, some of them quite important.
That may mean that version 2 is not far away.
Let me know if you enjoy this…

Super SuperNature

A lot of music going on this past week including a few numbers from us at the Station in Southwark Bridge Road. Just about a ten minute walk from London Bridge – where were you all? You missed the debut of me and Rossa doing our (new) stuff – well, covers anyway. It went really well I thought and we are pushing on with the new two voices approach. Rossa will be there at the nine bar next Thursday so maybe you’d like to hear a sample of where we’re at:

These vocals are completely unprocessed, I recorded them last night when we were rehearsing and dropped them into the original Supernature backing tracks.
Those of you with good ears will no doubt be able to hear some nasty things that I can’t – but really i just wanted to see how it came out.

This is on the set list for next Thursday at the nine bar…

Last night I dreamt I went to Manderley again…

Er no – almost, but actually ‘Last night I dreamt musically again’. And it was this morning.  But yes, I did, really. It was a really good tune, and had a lyric as well. I realised, as I came up from the depths of my deep sleep, that I already knew it, which seemed to be because it’s down there somewhere already playing in the background.

I grabbed it with my conscious mind and listened to it as I came round – ‘not going to forget this one, oh no. There, I’ve memorised that surely. As soon as I get up I’m going to write that down!’.

Half an hour later, when I next woke up, it had sunk back down into the depths without a trace.

NineBar update

Just a quick word about our next outing on 1st October…these gigs are only a half hour but it’s a great way to try out half of the set and this time will be the second half – well some of it. Probably going to do three new tunes, a couple not so new and a ‘Cowboys’ on the end.

We started rehearsing for this last week and all good so far…I’m also planning to bring Rosa Pedaci on for at least one to add some stunning backing vocals.
A full band, Richard Bremner is back, and it’s free too…

why would anyone not want to be there?
